I'm reading Nana by Emile Zola at the moment, it's a great story. For some reason I love vintage books, we are about to step into 2009, and this is a edition printed in the 1930's, the story is originally published in 1880. If you think about it that way, the past is really not so far into the past, and we are not completely trapped in our own life times. I like the sense of humor in all the illustrations, in which the heroine Nana who posses such dazzling sexual power is always depicted as half naked.

apparently a lot of craft stores are having sales after the holidays, I bought this large role of yarn, it's so white and soft and I love it!

my mini rose tree is doing well, apparently in full bloom, not so bad of a winter if you ask me.

what's cooking tonight? napa cabbage looked extra fresh at the store today so I bought some and made soup along with mushroom and other veggies.

late lunch with good company :)
found a cardigan, the skirt is mine and doesn't quite go with it, but I love the mohair blend, makes the sweater so fluffy.

lunch with Eunyung.  She brought me to this wonderful little restaurant in Arcadia, I used to get coffee next door to it everyday and never noticed it, now I want to go there all the time!

I started cooking again :) mushroom rice and garlic salmon.

This is one of the little books I have that help me get through the day, it explains why clothes need to be hanged up and dishes washed and put away after each use, I say it really comes in handy sometimes!
I love succulents, and gardening is a good hobby :)

it's not a holiday without a tree, and ginger cookies, and reindeer and santa claus, and...a basketful of George? ok, I'm being too much, but I guess I just love small animals♡

made plans to run on the beach, but then decided that it was nice enough to just walk..the sun set on Torrey Pines was incredible, I don't think I can ever forget it. Gorden and I did a rough hike, for me at least, we climbed up the mountain and went the other way down straight to the beach. The sky slowly turned dark, and while we walked on the beach I saw a dark figure slowly emerged from the water, and then I realized that it was a seal, a real, live, seal!! I was short of breathe but couldn't take a picture because it was already too dark, and I was a little bit afraid of it as we were positively getting very close to each other. After we stared each other for some time the beast decided to move its chubby body and turned slowly back to the ocean. I was really touched by it, I had never seen a sea animal this up and close before, at a place so beautiful, and so I'm thankful for that.

hehe aww this puppy is what I want! I saw a grown one at a shoe store one day and the owner told me he bought it from this website in Korea. It's too much cuteness and I think my head is about to explode, hehe. I think that's a Shitsu, they have the softest hair and most beautiful eyes.

my day was a bit overwhelming, when work is done I wanted to sip some coffee and enjoy the cold weather. It's strange how I could feel at ease sitting on a cold chair right near a busy street.
look where a little patience has gotten me!

I am having such a great day so far, it's been a incredible week for me:) Gorden and I are scheming about going to Paris together in the spring, he wants to check out the hot European women and I want to go on a shopping spree. And the first thing we will do is visit Pere Lachaise, and pay our respect to Chopin and Bizet, wooo, I can't wait!!!! I'm going to dig out my passpord and pick up on my French lessons right away!

shall we ban heads?

phew, busy day! I finished recording some music for a client, tiny small project, but so much fun! Visited Takako and Natalie in the afternoon.  And Natalie, please don't grow up too fast, we like you very much as a tiny baby!

btw, visiting Michael's is a dangerous thing to do during holidays, you might end up buying too many ribbons like me...

a night of guilty pleasure: chocolate, wine, and too much bad music, sorry friends, it's only the music that I'm sharing, the chocolate are all mine :)
