I'm reading Nana by Emile Zola at the moment, it's a great story. For some reason I love vintage books, we are about to step into 2009, and this is a edition printed in the 1930's, the story is originally published in 1880. If you think about it that way, the past is really not so far into the past, and we are not completely trapped in our own life times. I like the sense of humor in all the illustrations, in which the heroine Nana who posses such dazzling sexual power is always depicted as half naked.

made plans to run on the beach, but then decided that it was nice enough to just walk..the sun set on Torrey Pines was incredible, I don't think I can ever forget it. Gorden and I did a rough hike, for me at least, we climbed up the mountain and went the other way down straight to the beach. The sky slowly turned dark, and while we walked on the beach I saw a dark figure slowly emerged from the water, and then I realized that it was a seal, a real, live, seal!! I was short of breathe but couldn't take a picture because it was already too dark, and I was a little bit afraid of it as we were positively getting very close to each other. After we stared each other for some time the beast decided to move its chubby body and turned slowly back to the ocean. I was really touched by it, I had never seen a sea animal this up and close before, at a place so beautiful, and so I'm thankful for that.

I am having such a great day so far, it's been a incredible week for me:) Gorden and I are scheming about going to Paris together in the spring, he wants to check out the hot European women and I want to go on a shopping spree. And the first thing we will do is visit Pere Lachaise, and pay our respect to Chopin and Bizet, wooo, I can't wait!!!! I'm going to dig out my passpord and pick up on my French lessons right away!

shall we ban heads?
phew, busy day! I finished recording some music for a client, tiny small project, but so much fun! Visited Takako and Natalie in the afternoon. And Natalie, please don't grow up too fast, we like you very much as a tiny baby!
btw, visiting Michael's is a dangerous thing to do during holidays, you might end up buying too many ribbons like me...
